Prathana - Prayer - As Expression of Gratitude

Prathana - Prayer - As Expression of Gratitude

Prayer is an expression of thanks, gratitude and confidence in God. Ordinarily, prayers are said with some objectives in mind. God is the greatest giver of all givers and He certainly gives, but the person offering prayers should have some patience and have peace of mind until he gets the reward. Don't ever imagine that if you have not been rewarded, your prayers have not been heard. The god has already accepted your prayers but the rewards will come at the proper time. You have planted a tree today, given it water and fertilizer over a short time. It does not mean that it will give you the fruits today itself or in a short while. There is no way to coax the plant to mature quickly and before its time. God's command is such that the tree will bear fruit at the designated time - not before and not after. In the same way, on the creeper of the prayers the flowers and the fruits will come - but at the appropriate time.
